The Yukon Quest is a famous dogsled race in North Ameria. It starts on Saturday 6 Feruary 2010. The race is 1,600 km long: between Fairbanks, Alaska, USA... The first race began in 1984, in memory of the pioneers who came to live in Alaska and Canada. The person who drives the sled is called a "musher". About 30 mushers participate in the Yukon Quest. They come from all over the world: the United States, Canada, Germany, England, Seitzerland and Poland.
In 2009, Sebastian Schnuelle, from Germany, became the fastest person to finish the race - in nine days, 23 hours and 20 minutes !!!!!!
